The 2025 minimum wage in Indonesia has increased to 6.5% as of January 1, 2025. This decision, formalized through the Ministry of Manpower Regulation aims to bolster workers' purchasing power while maintaining business competitiveness. This increase will be applied across provincial (UMP) city/district (UMK) and sectoral minimum wages. It's important to note that while the national average is 6.5%, specific regional figures will vary, reflecting local economic conditions. For example, specific values have been released for different areas. See below:

Again, this adjustment reflects the government's efforts to balance fair compensation with Indonesia business growth and drive. The increase is also intended to serve as a social safety net, particularly for workers with less than 12 months of employment, as well designed to help workers maintain a decent standard of living. Businesses are advised to ensure compliance with the latest regulations to avoid penalties.
